On Saturday, October 23rd, 2010, around noon, a beautiful group of AJAICeños gathered at Bethel Church in Chicago. The main focus and theme of this service was clear: Manifest. And that’s exactly what God did. We learned that God doesn’t only move in the typical ‘Pentecostal’ way, but also through a still small voice. Our vice president, Exh. Jasmine Rosa, delivered the message for the afternoon in 1 Kings 19: 9-13. She spoke of three stages:
- the Stage of Victory (also known as the “first love” stage) – Everything is going great and fire descends (in a manner of speaking).
- the Stage of the Cave – Everything is dark and difficult. You feel scared and alone. We also learned that the cave, in biblical times, was also commonly used as a grave, so most times, you feel ‘dead’ (spiritually-speaking).
- the Stage of the Manifestation – This is a also called the “breakthrough” stage, and is where we find Elijah in our passage. God moved in four ways; a great and powerful wind, an earthquake, a fire, and finally a still, small voice, which is where the prophet found God. We learned that Elijah had turned away and forgotten all the things God told him, but God reached Elijah on time, like He can do for us!
It was an amazing (!!!) service, and we had representation from many churches, and across a few states. So, on behalf of the directive, thank you for joining us to do what DMO does best – Praise God!
PS. Below are a few shots from the day. Don’t forget to leave us a comment below. Tell us about your experience at Pre-Convention. Enjoy!
